Plans
Plan Terms and Requirements
New Plans 3, 5, 6 Year
The pinnacle protection plan provides a 3, 5, and 6 year plan on new
outboard engines and personal jet boats that covers your new watercraft
for
a full 3, 5, or 6 years from the manufactures' original warranty starting
date. A 5 and 6 year plan is available on new stern drives (gas) and new
inboard (gas) models, and a 3 and 5 year plan is available on new diesel
engines.
New registered or documented current model year and three (3) immediately
preceding model year inboard, stern drive (I/O), diesel, outboard, and
personal jet boats (with no less than a one-year manufacturer's limited
warranty) up to 65 feet overall in length are eligible. Note: New plan
coverage may only be purchased during the first eleven months of the
manufacturer's limited warranty.
Used plan 12 or 24 months
The pinnacle protection plan covers your used watercraft for a full 12 or
24
months from the purchase date of your watercraft. Registered or documented
current model year and five (5) immediately preceding model year inboard,
stern drive (I/O), diesel, outboard, L0Drive, and OMC Sea Drive powered
watercraft and personal jet boats are eligible for a 12 month Plan.
Registered or documented current model year and three (3) immediately
preceding model year inboard, stern drive (I/O), outboard, L-Drive, and
personal jet boats are eligible for a 24 month plan. January 1 of each
year
constitutes a model year change. Used plan coverage may only be purchased
on the same day you purchased your watercraft from the dealership.
Non-Eligible Products
The following products are not eligible for the Pinnacle Protection plan.
Watercraft or engines sold with less than a one-year manufacturer's
limited
warranty: all used watercraft and engines that are six (6) years old and
older (January 1, constitutes a new model year); products primarily used
for
generating revenue; products used or registered for commercial service;
ferry purposes; charter and commercial fishing boats; products that are
modified or raced; products used by government agencies; any watercraft
with three or more engines (3rd engine exclusion does not include trolling
motors); engines with no serial number; products over 65 feet in length
(overall); rebuilt engines.

Engine Components: All Internally lubricated parts including:

Intermediate or adapter housing; transom plate; upper gearcase;
upper gearcase hosing; U-joints, U-Joint shaft and bearing; upper steering
bearing and gimbals; tilt bearing and lower steering bearings; shift
bellcrank; bushing and plug; center yoke; drive yoke.
V-Drive Component
All internally lubricated parts within the V-drive case. (The
V-drive case if damaged as a result of the failure of a covered
component).
Gearcase Components
(Stern Drive Only):
Gearcase head, bearing and oil
retainer (Except drop shaft seal); gearcase assembly; driveshaft and upper
bearing; shift rod and/or cover assembly; lower pinion bearing; forward
and/or pinion gear; reverse gear; propeller shaft or shift fork. (Gearcase
if damaged as a result of the failure of a covered component)
Jet Drive Component
All internally lubricated parts in the pump housing, Pump housing if
damaged as a result of the failure of a covered component. (Pump impellers
are excluded).
Seals & Gaskets
Seals and gaskets are covered for those components covered by the
plan.
Electrical Components
Alternator; starter; starter solenoid; voltage regulator; ignition
coil; switch box; ignition module; ignition
trigger/amplifier; and windshield wiper motor; (Wiring and wiring harness
are excluded unless damaged as a direct result of the failure of a covered
component).
Power Trim Components
Spring sending unit; oil pump, pump relief value; spring; O-Ring;
trim cylinder; tilt cylinder, manual release valve; hydraulic pump;
reverse lock valve; power tilt motor; and power trim motor.
Controls Components
Neutral start switch assembly; starter/chock primer
switch; starter/stop button; throttle control handle; throttle cam lever,
throttle and shift cable; shift interrupter switch; tilt/trim switch; and
ignition switch. (Keys and tumblers excluded).

check valve; oil tank; oil cap; oil level and oil flow warning sensors and
control modules; oil level warning horn; oil lines; oil injection metering
system. (Rubber and plastic lines and hoses are excluded.)
Steering Components
Steering control helm assembly; steering bracket and

steering pump; power steering cylinder; steering wheel and coupling;
steering cable; steering rams. (Steering components are covered only if
watercraft and engine are purchased as a package).
Jet Drive Components

impeller liner are not covered. Damage to jet drive bearings caused by
improper lubrication is not covered)
Fuel System Components
